It’s a unique sound, that “swishing” sound when the ball hits the goal netting. That sound comes from the speed of the ball and the way the netting is made. The knots between the horizontal and the vertical cords that make it a net. You hear swish when the ball flies into the goal net.
Pelé heard this unique sound 1,283 times – from the goals he scored. One thousand, two hundred, and eighty-three goals are another record Pelé will probably hold for an eternity.
