Play Indoors with Pelé
By Pelé Sports
It is that time for indoor soccer, futsal and cheaky touches with lots of goals! Pelé Sports has created the footwear to maximize comfort with the touch you need on every part of the foot. Such as our Radium.
In the beginning was the small pitch. Long before Pelé ran out under bright floodlights to the cheers of tens of thousands of fans, he practiced his technique and his match intelligence on a small pitch – and so this special type of football match will always be associated with the greatest footballer of all times. The name of his team at that time was “Radium.” And we’ve named our indoor boot after this team.
For all small pitch players who are still improving their technique and their game, now there is the right boot for them, the Radium boot: with this boot the player can control the ball the way he wants to. Thanks to the sole in the forward section of the boot, which adjusts to the shape of the ball when the player stands on it, allowing the player to control the ball even more as he rolls it back and forth. Thanks to the toe cap, which is angled so it’s even easier for the player to float the ball after he’s stopped it, and is also fortified so a shot with the toe cap is even stronger. The boot is especially comfortable on a hard surface due to the heel section that’s raised 5 mm, which also absorbs and distributes pressure and prevents injuries. And, of course, with the TPU shaft in the midfoot area it gives a player more grip and even more power when accelerating.
So much functionality in a very sleek design. In addition, there are a few allusions to Pelé on the sole: stars and the Roman numeral “X,” and the heel sole is decorated with a pentagonal football, the symbol for the classic 5 vs. 5 match on a small field.
Because for the most part Pelé acquired his inimitable ball control and ability to quickly react to match situations while playing on the streets of his hometown. This was the inspiration for the 50/50, which was designed for modern-day street football. For even more feeling for the ball and the joy in playing the game on every playing surface – whether it’s asphalt, sand or cinders.
The short studs increase traction on a loose surface. The material of the outer sole in the forefoot section is softer than the rest of the sole, which makes it easier to control the ball. The midfoot section is fortified with a TPU shaft, which helps the player on quick starts and at the same time protects against shocks when playing on a hard surface. The toe cap is angled so the player can even more easily float a stopped ball. In addition, it’s even fortified so shots are stronger. And the heel cap is rubberized so the player can control the ball even better with the heel cap during play.
The heel section is raised 5 mm for maximum comfort and protection against injury, and it distributes pressure and allows the player to make contact with the playing surface quickly.
The design of the 50/50 is sleek, which means you can also wear it in the office before the match or in the city, or just leave them on after a match when you go to a club in the evening. The studs are a playful design detail: they are designed as targets, a symbol for Pelé’s accuracy, who scored 1,283 goals. The sole in the heel section has the form of a pentagonal soccer: a symbol for the classic 5 vs. 5 match of street soccer.
